Those black squares with white diamonds in them are part of the journey initiated in annihilated (May 18, 2006). The “stupidity” of the black squares can be found discussed by the black squares in and thus meet (June 8, 2006) through and that ends that (June 19, 2006) and is arguably visible throughout this entire webcomic.
